BCA Float 8 Airbag

Research shows that wearing an airbag while you ski or ride doubles your odds of survival if you get caught in an avalanche. The Backcountry Access Float 8 Airbag offers a low-profile, lightweight way to stay safe when you go through the gates to get into the backcountry. This minimalist bag has enough space for basic avalanche safety tools, as well as a small hydration pack and maybe a few snacks. The Float airbag system is light, affordable, and easy to use, and most importantly, it could save your life. It uses a compressed air cylinder to almost instantly inflate a 150-liter airbag that helps keep you at or near the surface of a slide in order to minimize evacuation time. Backcountry Access also has the world’s most extensive network of cylinder refill and exchange centers, making it easier for you to get a new compressed air cylinder after you have to deploy your airbag.• Float airbag system
