Frankford lists 15 mph for the rectangle model sustained-wind performance at the optimal operating position; the stabilization kit is listed as adding 5 mph. Wind ratings are comparative guidance, not warranty coverage. Close and secure the umbrella in sudden or severe weather, whenever it is unattended or not in use, and when sustained winds exceed 25 mph. Do not apply the rating while the canopy is tilted; rooftop and elevated installations require separate site-specific planning.
